An evening with an old street photo and Photo Paint 9 Digital Camera Edition. Gave myself an assignment and got this result. (Actually Bill G. as a very young man).

Interesting. I like the two on the right. Why did you title it as you did. Just courious. Bsteph

I agree Bsteph, two on the righ are the best ones. To do work like this, there should be something common in all pics, now the ones in left side are bit different than right side. Also, bit too big framing draws too much attention. Nice pic still, and just fooling around is the best part of the process. .n

As to the title. You have to have seen the characterization of Clark Kent (Superman in street clothes)on early TV. The hat and double-breasted suit. Andy Worhol is a very famous "Pop Art" painter. You have probably seen his pictures. Campbell soup cans, etc. He painted in a very heavy poster style. The object here was to do repeat images in different objects, get them combined and set into frame. The true "Warhol" style would give you only variations in color and probably hewed more closely to a common theme. I believe that some textured frames would add to many pictures. As in galleries the framing has a lot to do with the acceptance of art work. We have with our tools, the ability to also be creative in the area. I find it nearly impossible to really learn from tutorials. I normally use them to get started. I learn more from novelty assignments such as this and then the knowledge can be applied to better work.

Cool - I can empathise completely, but purely because I start a tutorial then usually make a mistake which side-tracks me and I never quite get back on the right track... I'm sure there's a moral there somewhere!

Ok. I was a little confused. Of course I got the Andy Warhol reference BUT the superman part I missed. I was wondering if andy had painted such a photo with a superman moteif at on time or another. You know I am not sure if I have ever attempted a photography tutorial. WAIT take that back. Yes I have I was just a long time ago. Currently I will start on binges of photography. For example-I want to start practicing sports photos, I want to take more night photos, I want to make a interesting photo with a peice of paper and a stick and a rose. You get the picture. It's called practice. Actually the forum will supply quite a lot of it if I stick around. Wish me luck. Bsteph
