Subject: Anyone knows what to do with Poser 2010 and Win 8/8.1 ?

softcris ( ) posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 12:38 PM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 2:42 PM

Can't open totally my Poser - version 2010 Pro. Brought it in 2010 actually.

Any clues, please teach me what do I do to make that software to work normally in my PC with Windows 8.1

Thanks a lot!

because only poser pro 2014 has the drivers for windows 8. I had ordered a new computer knowing it would have w8 and then I found out that my poser pro 2012 would not function. I then had to purchase 2014

I obtained the information from smith micro

I had that problem with P9 when I upgraded to Win8.1, but they have a patch for that. Contact SM technical support.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit, Poser: 10

poser 2012 will not function from what Smith Micro told me with w8.1

Win 8.1 & 2012 - very probable since that info came from SM.

Win 8 - has no issues, I have been running 2012 on this box for over 6 months now with no problem. Just ignore the "upgrade to 8.1" prompt, & install the SR if you use IE11. (I stayed with IE10 since I don't use it Chrome)

Poser Pro 2012 SR3 on Win10 x64 w/Reality.
