Dark Sphere Mage Vengeance
Poser 10 does not have the copy all morphs function (very useful), nor the fitting room. It is also only 32 bit.
I bought Poser 10, and quickly upgraded as soon as I could. 32 bit Poser is far too limited in my view.
Given the current upgrade sale (Poser Pro 2014 for $125), it would seem a good time just to upgrade all the way.
PoserPro 2014, PS CS5.5 Ext, Nikon D300. Win 8, i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz, AMD Radeon 8570, 12 GB RAM.
Get Poser Pro 2014 - it will use all of the memory you have available. Poser 10 will be limited to -at most- a 4GB allotment because it is 32bit.
Poser 12, in feet.
OSes: Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64
Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5
And another one for Poser Pro 2014. When a Poser first launched a 64bit version I built a Computer just for Poser. Up until then I had no need for 64bit, although Poser was limited. The jump in performance was substantial and the extra features the icing on the cake.
As others have said, with Poser Pro 2014 upgrade on sale this a really a good time to make the jump to 64 bit.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
I have not purchased a boxed version of Poser for a long while, version 5 or 6 I think. What I do remember is that, living in the UK, by the time I had paid shipping, import tax and shippers fees the price had almost doubled. Only do downloads of any software these days.

Yes but here the file to download is ONLY 17 mb!?!? So it must be JUST the engine to make your upgrade 64 bit... I am very unsure and will probably wait for a Smith Micro sale... I don't want the manual, but I want the FULL suite... and I do want a DVD (hence the need for it to be "boxed")...
Life Requires Assembly and we all know how THAT goes!
So... let me get this straight... If I by the upgrade here...then I go to SM and get IT'S update for Poser Pro 2014...THEN burn that to dics, and I'm set ?
I am dyslexic...and cautious...but too, I am anxious to move into "the future"!!
Thanks for being patient and helping me get this clear!

What I would do is:
Fire up the download manager that you'll receive. Pick a save location that you can easily find, even if you have to make your own folder somewhere. Download all the stuff. Take all of that and burn to dvd-r along with a text file that you create and place your serial number inside of.
Full content is several gigs. I'd guess around 6 GB? If you only have cd-r's, it's going take a pile of them.
.
THanks, Netherworks... really helpful... right now too, I am asking in the Marketplace forum if there is an END DATE on that sale...I've a credit card to clear off first... plus we all have questions on where those files download FROM... Jenn is helping over there...
I'll "hush" here though, as you all have cleared up that I really MUST get 2014!!
Thank you all so much!!

Good guess, my Smith Micro DLM folder shows it being 5.11Gig

I am confused... won't Poser 10 take advantage of the 64 bit stuff? (you can tell I'm not a geek re: hardware) ... I looked on the Smith Mirco page under requirements and comparisons... seems the only real difference between 10 and 14 is the "fitting room" ?
Appreaciate anyone's help here! "geeks wanted" ! LOL!
Thanks,
Lyne
