I made this "fabulous thing" for Vicky ;) and now all I have left to do it make if conform, which is definitely the hardest part of making clothes I think. Now if some kind soul would like to give it a try - I simply cannot do it!!!! :( I don't know how to split up the model in parts like Chest, Rcollar, Lcollar and Abdomen. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts and putting me off clothes making ... Arrrrghhhhhhh Note: if it can be made conformable, I will send it to free stuff :) *wide grin*

Check out Nerd's "Conforming Clothing Figures." The URL is: www.theworks.com/~nerd/Tutorial/ConformingPrint.htm. Also, check out the Tutorials section here on Renderosity. Used to be a couple of good tutorials on this topic there. Nerd didn't place any restrictions on redistribution for his tutorial, so if you can't find it, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you.

Yes, I have read his tutorial, and it's very good. But the part I don't understand is, how to split the model in parts and does it have to be split in the first place. (I'm using Amapi3d) Thanks reb :) I will take one more look at Nerd's tutorial :)

you have to group the clothing to match the nearest part it needs to bend with. I'd suggest UVmapper for grouping it out.

I think I got it now! :)

... I don't :( Any volunteers for doing it for me? ;) I'm serious.

lol, ugh.... thats like asking someone if they want to to the dentist for you. Try using CR2editor, and moving over entries from existing clothing to yours. Or use the existing clothing cr2 altogether, point it to the new obj, and the save it to a new filename. Remember to delete any entries you don't need. That should get you to a good starting place to spend several hours/days tweaking joints.

Heheh, yeah maybe, though going to the dentist is a LITTLE worse I think LOL ok, thanks MallenLane, I will try that :)
