Quote - The URL tells you what page you're on.
I know that, as I said "I have to look in my browser's address bar or the little hint pop-up at the very bottom of my screen and look for clues."
My point is that if the page numbers worked properly I wouldn't have to check the URL. I don't need to on any other forum, and I didn't need to do it here before this site was 'improved' last year.
I'll add my name to the list of annoyed users. It's even more annoying when I notice that the numbers work properly on Marketplace pages (or should I be thankfull?). Either someone got lazy or they coded themselves into a corner somehow. Didn't realize I could look at the URL though, so that helps.

When viewing a forum thread which spans multiple pages, the design of the page number buttons is such that it is not possible to see which page you are currently viewing, so there's no easy way to know what the 'next' page is. This is more of a problem when clicking on a search result plops you into a thread and you don't know where you are.
The old version of this site had the current page number darker so it stood out from the others and not a clickable link. That is how every other site on the internet works.
Which page am I currently viewing in the screenshot? There is no easy way to tell that by looking at the numbers, so how do I know which page comes next? If I click on a number it will load that page again, even if that's the page I'm currently on - it shouldn't even be a live link. There is often no "next" arrow to get to the next page (but sometimes there is, go figure) so I have to look in my browser's address bar or the little hint pop-up at the very bottom of my screen and look for clues.
How can something as simple as this stay broken for six months, couldn't the web designers have fixed it before they started messing with other parts of the site?
