Not sure if this is a known bug, but the forums here perform rather poorly on the ipad.

If your typing and drag the window at all, typing no longer works unless you exit the type function and replace your cursor. This often means where you are typing is below the on screen keypad and leaves you typing blindly. If you drag you can type, if you drag and then reposition cursor the window resets and you cant see where the cursor is and you need to type blindly.

Constantly having to reset the cursor position makes it all rather frustating just to type a basic forum entry.

These issues mean I vist these forums less and less tbh.
