Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
When you unistalled V4 did you look into every nook and cranny in your runtimes? A lot of times bits are left behind like old data. You have to make sure that everything is gone.
Are you using old installers for V4, zips from Dim, or zips downloaded from Daz?
When you re-installed the morphs++ if there were hidden bits left behind the data could be corrupted. Did you re-intialize V4 after you reinstalled morphs++?
I'm not sure if this will help. But when you said that the morphs were only injecting into the upper body it reminded me of how the morphs are injected into the body part that you select (at least on my machine). So when I select the chest and inject the morphs, the morphs will only be applied to the chest.
Try making sure that the V4 Body is selected before injecting the Morphs.
Quote - I'm not sure what happened. I have been using Poser 10 with Windows 7, everything was working fine. Then, one day, V4's morphs ++ were only injecting into her upper body, now, they won't inject at all.
I have V4 and her morphs in the main runtime of P10. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both V4 and her morphs...it didn't help.
I see a red flag in the statement above, Windows 7 and V4 & morphs in the main runtime. If P10 is installed in the default *Program Files *folder, then I would suspect that IUA has finally started to interfere with the application. My suggestion, reinstall V4 and morphs in a different external runtime and reinitialize the figure.

If that's the case then right clicking on the Poser Icon and running it as administrator should fix that. I have seen in the Past where some of the features in Poser didn't work because the program had to be ran as an administrator. I use an administrator account on my computer and I still have to righ click and run as administrator to ensure that all of the features will work (mainly the scripts).
The issue wouldn't be Poser but the batch command that creates the files that are read by the CR2 that create the morph channels. That is, DzCreateExPFiles-v4.bat in RuntimeLibraries!DAZ. However, it's unlikely that would cause a problem out of the blue as it doesn't get run normally, only when the user needs to update the list of installed morphs, and we aren't certain that the user has the files in the application folder - the main Runtime of Poser 10 may mean the one that defaults to the Public Documents folder. One thing to check is that there is only one RuntimeLibraries!DAZVictoria 4 folder on the system - multiple folders can lead to Poser getting a mixture of files, which can result in odd partial failures.
At first, this may seem to get into the gears of the thing, but it is not difficult.
Use the program PMDedit.
New - add Poser - navigate to the !DAZ folder and find the INJ deltas files. Select all or leave out these that you will never use. Save as ***.pmd and make FBM INJ/REM poses before you save the final time.
I do not know how to do a group node tree inside PMDedit. The present method does not default, so each morph is assigned its node individually (tedious for a lot of morphs). But for V4++ the group node tree already is. The existing group node structure can be copy/pasted into the ***INJ.pz2 from a V4++ cr2.
No more initialize problems. If you do not wish to use multiple INJ poses, the ***.pmd can include additonal 3rd party morphs.
I've totally forgotten how to reinitialize V4. On my old machine, there was a desktop icon that could be used. If someone could explain to me how to reinitialize V4, I'll give that a try.
Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions! I'm reinstalling Poser 10 right now, and yes, I made sure that the runtime folder is in the application and not somewhere else.

I thought maybe it was something to do with Poser 10, so I broke out Poser Pro 2012 and installed that, same problem.
So, I have two versions of Poser installed and a V4 that won't take any morphs. I think I'ma gonna cry! Please help!!!
