displacement map??
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
games would just use normal maps ,textures .
SubD meshes ,if ya want the seems rased then ya model it in parts.
just like the denim was made in parts.
if ya want a sold mesh tuch it up under
or
run two loops real close togeather for a hard edge.
and a displacement maps for the denim texture.
if ya don't care if the seems are rased with topology textures and displacement maps.
but texturing a mesh where the displament maps rased the seems,ya need the right tools.
cause the UVMaps are off .zBrush could do it.if ya paint on the mesh with the displacement map active.but I don't know about a 2D app.it would be tricky.

Well where not communicating very well.

Here's a page showing how to make denim and seams in Photoshop:

Thank you for that useful link. I am going to play around with the ideas in it and see if I can get the same effect in Corel PhotoPaint.

The Seam running horizontally across the thigh in this image is entirely done with the texture and displacement mostly utilizing the quoted tutorial elements

Quote - in blender you can make a low poly and a high poly and bake the maps (displace, bump etc)
think most apps do it nowadays but terms may vary
All the main app's been able to do this for the last decade

I'm not at my home machine right now (a Mac) or I'd take a screen shot and post a pic of this outfit that I'm working on for Roxie. Here's my dilema. The shorts and jacket are made of denim. They, and a pair of boots which I've done for Roxie (non heels) have seams in them. Or rather, they are supposed to have seams in them, and I'm having a devil of a time trying to create them. Is there some trick to this that I don't know or something? Anybody got any tips on how to create decent looking and easy to make seams? I got the denim texture made, but I just can't seem to figure out the seams.
