I know some of you are PC club members over at, well you know where.

I also know some of you don't make it over there often.

The club is changing. 

There won't be any more new $1.99 items.

Everyone will have to "Opt in" to the new plus service once their current membership runs out.

There are other changes.

Some of you will like the changes. 

Some of you will hate the changes.

Some of you will be indifferent.

I'm just letting you know to stick your head into the PC Members only forum so you don't get hit.

The change has a sale at the moment that if you buy a new August item, you get a big discount on any Daz Original.

I used that to buy Carrara 8.5 Pro this month for $65. If I had bought 2 new items, my discount would have been even greater.

It's smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that the Pclub is losing features.

No new $199 items.

Your $6 coupon can only be used on items $16 or more.

The prices are going up by $1 on most $1.99 items.

DAZ has tossed in a lot of prerquisets in order to get the Pclub discounts.

So DAZ is thowing up a lot of smoke and mirrors so people don't realize they are losing benefits with the new Pclub. But I don't know why, DAZ has most of thier customers brain washed anyway. "DAZ is great, DAZ is wonderful, DAZ is always right, DAZ sells the best content". Repeat with winded zombie voice.

Ya, DAZ products are great, that is why I have had to return so much over the past 6 months. 90% of the time if I have an issue with an item it is from DAZ. The freebie content from shareCG works better most of the time.

daz's customers are smarter than daz thinks...... Pity daz doesn't realise this 

Just posting the summary I gave in another thread: Essentially it's a replacement for the existing PC - all new memberships and renewals are going to be PC+, and those with remaining subscriptions that go beyond July 31st next year will have them converted to PC+ at the beginning of August unless they contact sales support before then. It's a rejig to keep the PC sustainable, so there are downsides but with some sweeteners to offset that. The changes (I hope this is the full list) are: New PC items will be one of a set of tiered prices - $2.99, $3.99, $4.99, $5.9 or (rarely) $7.99 with a 30% intro discount for the standard 2 weeks. Existing PC items (from before last week's releases) will remain at $1.99. There's a new coupon, good for $6 off an order over $18, which applies to PA items as well as DAZ items - it isn't, however, good for items still on introductory sale. The old $6 coupon good only for non-PC DAZ items is also still there, so PC+ members get two coupons. There will be additional discounts for PC+ members on one of the daily(ish) promotions on the sales and promotions page. The standard PC discount on DAZ items remains. So the main downside is the increase in PC item prices, with an extra coupon on PA items and extra promotions on select sales as the upside.

You left out the minimum to actually use the coupon.

Just means my shopping at DAZ has come to a screatching halt. 9/10 of the items I have bought over the years have been the $1.99 items. And since nothing new actually works in carrara there is no reason for me to shop at DAZ at all now.

Everytime DAZ trys to pump up their profit they just lose more customers. Think they might realize this by now.

As they lose customers they just try to squeeze the ones left for more money. A marketing tactic that will not work.

Given that prime here is over $3 ($3.99?) - Daz would lose its PA's to Renderosity if it didn't raise the floor.

They claim they will offset that with good discounts on higher end items - time will tell. So far in the two cases, that higher end discount has been condition based - you get it after first buying something that is in a general sale.

But...

They did need to raise the floor.

The existing PC coupon, $6 off non-PC DAZ items, is working just as it has since the store change - there is no minimum basket value for its use. The old $6 coupon and the 30% discount on non-PC DAZ items are just as they were in the existing PC, the changes are the prices for new PC items, the additional coupon, and the additional discounts on selected sales.

It's funny, Daz says it wants open discourse, but then says it will close down the thread if people keep saying the implementation of PC Club+ was botched and why it was botched.

If we had all come into the thread and sang Daz's praises, we could have 100 pages of cheerleading and not one mention of padlocks.

Just checked, ya, I can't enter the members only form and am an active Pclub member.

And there is my new coupon. Saving it for G2F morphs bundle when it goes on sale. G2Ms worked so it should be safe.

Persoanlly I think the Pclub should be a catchup thing. As in the lower the generation of item the less the cost. Mil3 would be .99, mil4 would be $1.99, genesis $2.99, G2F/M $3.99. This system would see mil4 clothes at the top of the best seller list.

We know there is a big selection of Mil 4 clothes and with autofit you can use them on genesis and G2F/M. But to encourage people to move up to the next gen clothes I'd make sure autofit didn't work quite right, like mangle shoes, stretch dresses, ruin blouses... Oh, never mind, DAZ beat me to it.

I knew they would since there was a fair amount of people expressing dissatisfaction.

Some people love using that padlock.

It's impossible to get a proper handle on things if threads are closed because people disagree with the official position.
