GKDantas ( ) posted Mon, 11 August 2014 at 8:22 PM · edited Sat, 08 February 2025 at 4:53 PM

Hi people, dont know if this is the right forum (didnt find one for AS) so anyone knows if with Debut version 10 I can use FullHD canvas size? 1920 X 1080 pixels at 24 or 30 FPS

Thanks

Hi GKdantas

Depending on the type of animation your looking to produce.

If the anime sofware allows it, I would render at 1920 x  1080 HD or 1240 x 720 HD  and save the project at 30 keyframes per second in an AVI or MPEG format.. sometimes if you render at 24 keyframes it maybe make the art work jumpy in the animation cycle in AVI..

With anime studio from smithmicro  you can render at 1240 x 72o and use standing frame animations which are more like still graphics one frame at a time keyframing , then you can render at 24 fps and put them together in a good video editor like adobe premiere or Sony vaga save it in full HD( windows movie makers does not save in HD) in the video editing software to create your story. a good example of that type of animation  would be mangatransformation videos on youtube.

Good Luck :)

Thanks Poisinivy, the problem I cant get the FullHD with version 6.2 bedut... maybe with version 10 theres this option.

When I trie to use a custom size the maximum values are 788 X 768 that is pretty small.

if you downloaded the free version then its just a trial version of the software and it has limits to what can be done with it if you have the paid version with the registered license then you can try updating it and see if that give you more options, 6.2 is rather older version also

Attached Link: Debut vs Pro

According to the comparison chart on their website, Debut is limited to a much smaller cnavas than Pro is. For example, Debut10 it is limited to 900x900 pixels, 6.2 being older than that is likely limited to less, so 788, is probably all you get I'm afraid.

That is pretty standard for all of the "hobbyist" versions of software. They all limit canvas sizes, and various other features.

Well, for what its worth, since you already have Debut 6.2, I believe you could go the upgrade route. It appears you could upgrade from Debut 6.2 to Debut 10 for $30, then upgarde from Debut 10 to Pro 10 for $150. That should be $180 out the door, a bit easier than $300 buying pro outright. Worth thinking about perhaps.
