Hi folks!

Hopefully I'm just being stupid, but I'm really having difficulties with Oskarsson's FireBird model. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get it to render properly!

The Geometries and other files are exactly where they are meant to be and I can see the model properly in the preview pane.

When I render, it looks like this:

Render with V4

And are the materials meant to be set like this? I think the grey patches in the material are what I can see in the final render...

Forgive me for ignorance - the material room is not my strong point. :)

The  materials on the suit are fine.

You have to apply the MAT's to the V4 figure, not the suit

Hi, Lowpoly!

Thank you for replying. :)

That's exactly what I have been doing, and those mats work perfectly.

It's the suit I am concerned about. See how the head part of it looks grey and lumpy, as opposed to the flames in the promo renders? That's the bit I'm not having any luck with...  :(

You need to have something in back of figure otherwise light will just continue traveling thru it

I was hoping that would work, but unfortunately it's still doing the same thing.

I'm convinced it's the materials, but just can't figure out what the hell it is. :)

Turn off Gamma Correction and/or Tone Mapping.

It doesn't work well with either.

You also need proper lighting

Free pint here for this absolute LEGEND!!!  :D

Thank you, Lowpoly! That is exactly what was wrong. It never even occurred to me that Gamma Correction might influence this.

You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman. :)

Heya Mikael!

Ah, at least you made it here. We wouldn't be having this chat without your Firebird.

Excellent model, by the way, and I LOVED your HellHorse! :)

Thanks, bro! I'm thinking about doing some more stuff for Poser. It's been awhile...

Do it. Dooo oiiiiiit!

V4 or M4 compatible, please. Genesis isn't as much fun for us hobbyists. ;)
