Just getting to grips with animating in Carrara with the new Octane plugin.

A simple animation to start with.

The Dynoflush 3000 is perfect for your corporate Toilet needs, at just 20,000 credits per booth.

Is it true that when a culture is about to reach the end of its useful life, it gets attracted by overeating, trashy language and excrements?

Nowhere this is more visible than in the good ole US of A where overweight people are starting to be the majority and the number of times people use trashy language in their daily lives is alarmigly high.

Your clip somehow reminds me of a 70's movie by Marco Ferreri called 'La Grande Bouffe'.

Ferreri's movie was a lot more elaborate and complex than your clip. It revolves around the idea that overexaggerated consumerism ultimately leads you into trash and death. At least that is what I gathered from it.

You shouldn't conclude from my comments that I am equalling you to Ferreri. You're no match to him, at least not yet, but you're on a good start.

Here is a clip, actually a commercial, that demonstrates my point about a culture approaching the end of its useful life: poopourri

If this doesn't turn-up your stomach, then I don't know what else will.

I like the look it gives when things move, the samples stay static and make it look like it was shot through a matte glass!  Never would have thought it would work like that, I always thought the samples would be randomly positioned on each frame.

BTW, do you know if the plugin works with Octane 1 or is it just for the new version?

As for the humour, I think that comes as standard in your clips :-D

You have to have an Octane 2 license for the Carrara plugin. There isn't an earlier 1.x version available.

pumeco.

Glad you enjoyed it. Slightly off-track from the main plot (lol), but a useful test piece as I'm currently winning my OCTANE spurs!
