THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce bridge finds the wrong version of Daz Studio

fingers ( ) posted Fri, 05 September 2014 at 2:40 PM · edited Sat, 26 October 2024 at 6:18 PM

Hi All

I'm sure this has come up before...

I have Daz Studio 3(32&64) and DS 4.6 (32&64) installed on my computer (win7-64). Also, Bryce 7.1...

When I use the bridge in Bryce to send an imported object to Daz Studio, it can't seem to find DS4.6, my only bridge choices are for Studio 3(32&64bit).

How can I get bryce to see DS-4.6 ?

Thanks in advance for an answer, if there is one !!! Do I have to un-install DS-3 versions ?

Mike :)

I did a complete re-install of Bryce... The problem is gone now :) All fixed up...

I guess I didn't have the most recent version installed correctly. The Bryce bridge now correctly displays all versions of DAZ Studio installed on my machine. I don't think I completely un-installed Bryce7 before installing the Bryce7 Pro undate last time...

  All happy now :)

Glad you sorted it out.  Why do you have the old version of DAZ Studio around?

Sorry for the late reply, Steve !!!

Well, I have the old version still installed mostly because it's the version I paid for, and, I haven't been doing any images or 3D modeling for a few years now.

I have quite a few hobbies that I bounce between. I started updating things  just in case I got the itch anytime in the near future again. I don't know...maybe I'll get into it again, maybe not. :)

I know the feeling, I have the same issues with Bryce and also ArtMatic Voyager. So many competing things in life to get done and these apps require a degree of relearning each time you dabble, and they are very time consuming to the get the scene just right :)
