Subject: talk designer fail

Hi. For a an animation I'm working on, I tried to set up a trial run with about 26 seconds of my character's speech and corresponding supplementary text in TalkDesigner. The text is EXACTLY what she says in the .wav file, but every time I try to apply it in the talkdesigner dialogue box, the #%@$?! thing tells me: "failed to match audio and text." Then, my character reverts to her stock standing position, flys off in the distance and I have to close it out and start over.

Does anybody have any idea of how I can fix this? It's making me crazy.

I'm running Poser 7 on windows xp and the character I'm trying to animate is p7 kate.

Try running the sim without the text. I never put the text in there and it's never an issue.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

Thanks Rokket, I'm trying that now. I'd used it before and I seem to remember having the same problem then, and eventually ran it without the text.

I started in Poser 8, so I don't know if P7 Kate is supported in the talk designer. But that would be my next guess...
