For those of you who recall that I do have an online comic called ***Android *** and, even though I haven't touched either in over a year, a second one called Cricket McGuire, one of the tools that I used in making the online version, Comic Life, has just upgraded to version 3. Also rather unusual, it seems that the versions for both Windows AND Mac are available now.

I haven't tried it yet, but I did download the free trial version available at Plasq.com just incase you'd like to do your own investigation.

There's little difference between v2 and v3. You do have a few more styles and can vary the talk bubble transparency. I have v2 and like it a lot, but not worth the upgrade for me, yet.

I had the trial copy of version 2. I never got around to using it much though, as I lost interest in the online comic thing for a long time. When I did get interested again, the trial had expired, so I never really got a good feel for it. Maybe one day I'll have enough gumption to get into it again. I know it's not that expensive for what you get.

I upgraded to CL3 when it forst came out, a few months ago. Some of then new features and improvents are just nice. I like the instant alpha, it allows you to get rid of a backround in an image quickly. Bendable connection tails for balloons are very nice, as well as some of the filters included. I have not tried the script editor, but it seems quite advanced and handy. Let's not forget some of the new export features, it saves me bringing all the images to another application for export to pdf for example.
