Hi Lilwolff, This had me a bit stumped as I am lucky to have programs like 'Media Cleaner pro' which does everything and anything to compress multimedia files into the tiniest space. Unfortunatly it cost about $400. Anyway I did a search on the web and came up with this. http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/ It's a site that deals with explaining MPEG compression. The audio side of MPEG is mp3. Check it out. MP3 compressors are usually free. Hope this helps. Colm...
I will def. look into this. I have some MP3's they are wonderful and the quality of sound .. oh fantastic!! But did not realized could use on web pages? You know like with midi's... people come.. music plays. Ouch!! $400.00! Oh am sure is worth if you do a lot of it, but very steep for doing one wave. Colm thank you so much for your answering and the time you took from you day to ponder my question. I do appreciate it! smiles
Oh thank you Pack. The wave I wanted to use, just would not work properly in both browsers. It was causing me frustration instead of joy, so I went back to midi and a different selection. Sometimes even with hard work, things don't work out, that is when we have to come up with a different plan. I will go get real audio for plans of the future. smiles

A kind man suggested you might be able to help me. So I ask please for help on this if you can give it. I have a question about a wave of a different sort. Music that was gifted me, that I want to use with a 3D picture I am working on. But having trouble compressing the darn thing. Waves are so big! I have never used them as music on my site before. Can some one direct me to a learning place for this? Or tell me what I can use to squish it littler? Downloading time is horrible! I have been searching and searching and not really getting answers only confusion. There are so many free programs and I don't know which one is right for what I need to do. Tried a freebie Dos compression program from ZDnet and even though I know I ran it right, it did nothing. ): Thank you for any helping you can give. It is most appreciated. smiles
