Subject: Trouble accessing cart

I was hoping to take advantage of this $5 friday sale, but for the past 45 minutes I can not access my cart to proceed to checkout.  I am only going to have online access for another 15 to 20 minutes here today which means likely I am going to miss out on this sale - and this is ridiculous.

 

These sorts of errors, timeouts, and problems browsing the site and checking out have become increasingly more frequent since teaming up with Amazon for your sales and marketplace side of the equation and clearly they do not consider the bandwidth to your site or your customers ability to checkout, browse products, or make purchases a priority worth adressing or fixing.

Really tired of page timeouts and hangups when viewingh products or attempting to finalize transactions.

Ok, I have now wasted an hour trying to checkout.  I have better things I need to do than sit here and keep hitting refresh.

I just made a purchase a few days agao, same computer, same WIFI connection, so fairly certain it is nothing on my end.

The New HD Toaster from Wamco toasts bread more evenly and acurately than Standard Toasters. Take advantage of the FULL resolution of your bread and try one today, because if your toast isn't in High Definition, you are not getting the most of your toast!

Hi, I can't access my cart either! Wanted to make some changes but no way with that connection. I'm getting "MySQL errors" all the time. As KageRyu said it's crazy to hit refresh over and over again and nothing happens except waiting 15 minutes (last try)... This way I wouldn't be able to buy anything from $5 friday sale! Can you please help us?

The programmers are aware of the issue and are working as fastr as they can to get it back up and running smoothly.

Ditto on the cart thing. I was able to get my Prime renewal but after that I get the evil animated window tyllo shows above and when the cart finally shows up there are SQL errors behind the actual cart images and it won't let me add/remove stuff...

Hopefully you guys will be able to get it sorted before the $5 sale ends :crying:

i noticed the cart hang-up too, and checked here on the forum... we're all in the same boat. shucks. would be awesome if the team, considering those who can't wait indefinitely, would prolongate the sale then...

BUT - the reason i write here - what irked me even more - something i should maybe have known... if i read the site news? or any news at all, for that matter - is this with amazon. so this company with whom i have no contact whatsoever, nor did i plan to in the near future... has now some kind of details about me (including payment stuff), or is somehow informed about every business transaction bits when i purchase here at rendo??? correct me if i'm wrong... else, peachy :/

Woot I was able to place my order! Ok so it took over an hour to get the cart to finally show up and make it through all the steps to submit the order but it IS working it's just really really slow atm

As I said yesterday when I posted, I was running out of time to be online - cart was not fixed before I had to leave to do other things, so will Renderosity honor the sales since I was unable to make the purchase do to website technical difficulties?  Or should I just empty my cart out now?

From the way I understand it, no, Amazon does not have our individual details.  Amazon is handling some of the back end elements of the web store, such as the cart software, hosting, and file hosting on secure servers - but our individual customer details are through Renderosity and Bondware.  Sales still show up on PayaPal as Bondware.  I believe it is set up more like a host/client relationship, but am unsure of the details.  I do not believe it was covered extensively in the site news either, but I am aware of the domain hosting and handling because some of my security software sniffs domain names and lets me know who they belong too - and when I go to the cart or download files, I see notices about switching domain to various Amazon owned clouds or servers. 

I am unsure of the extent of the partnership or such, so please, people who read my frustrated posts, don't worry too much.

well... since i don't plan on stopping to buy some of the excellent stuff on rendo, nothing much i can do anyway. i basically hate any supplementary involvement with any company, especially when i'm not even dealing with them. like, i avoid paypal, and yeppee, one site i buy stuff from too works with them :/.
any data exchange stays digitally immortalized on every server it runs through i guess, and every byte of it irks me.

*no way in hell you'll ever see me faced on utube, spreading intimate pix on failbook or newsticking every second of my thrilling life on insta ~

btw, i need this toaster. my life is so meaningless without HD toast. hope it comes with hi-res jam! XD
