I've looked and looked at this, trying to find the CGI tells but I can't see any. Particularily impressed by the eye/eyelid join.

Just wondering on the vertex count on the mesh and the system spec (render farm?) and render time.

Coming to Poser in version ???

Poser 11 , 180Gb in 8 Runtimes, PaintShop Pro 9
Windows 7 64 bit, Avast AV, Comodo Firewall
Intel Q9550 Quad Core cpu,  16Gb RAM, 250Gb + 250Gb +160Gb HD, GeForce GTX 1060

In that brief glimpse of the rigging near the end of the video you can see 9 bones around each eye to get the micro-gestures!

facial rigging seems to be getting more popular ! does seem to give better results then shapekeys(morphs) but shapekeys can be linked by drivers and (not tried it yet) poser now has the dependant params'

mind you it will be a while before I attempt it ;-) fingers still give me a wobbler

I don't know, someone once said once:

""640K RAM ought to be enough for anybody."

every 18 months the  home computers double the power, thinks the monster power of one home Pc in 5 or 6 years...

with wacom tablet & autodesk maya, mudbox and the skills to use them.
would not take long ,20 working hours at the most.pro's half to work very fast.
pro's don't rig meshes thou ,they use mocaps kinetics.

Attached Link: Chris Jones - Eye and wrinkle test

Any ideas how he got the eyelids to displace in sync with the eye movement (vid in the link shows it more clearly)

icprncss2 ( ) posted Sat, 04 October 2014 at 8:18 AM

Mocap more than likely.

If you're talking about the corneal bulge moving across the closed eyelid, I think its just simple collision detection.

fake irises aside, I think this is the kind of realism people want from a poser figure out of the box.

Poser figures don't have the facial rigging this has. And the topology was designed with the rig in mind, as you can tell if you pause it at the end when they are stripping the model down to the wireframe and showing what is under the texture shaders.

And yeah, the eyes have some reality problems but they are still above what we can get in Poser.

For now...

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

sad but true we can't buy but we could make LW Sculptris Dude with Rex in Poser easy.

Poser has rig or morphs.
just cause Rex eyes don't come with rigs ,don't mean we can't rig them are selfs.
just cause he rigged the eyes don't mean ya can't get the same with morphs.

Poser has displacement maps.

Poser has glass or shinny shaders for the eyes.

any thing you see that some one else made you can make to. :)
