HEY - What happened to the last 4 digits in my Poser 10 Serial Number?

After installing the SR5 update, the last 4 digits (characters) in the serial number only appear as "-****" ... What gives?

Just curious why this has changed after ~20 years.

Anyone??? ... Anyone??? ... Anyone??? ... Bueller??? ... Bueller??? ... Anyone??? ...

cheers,

I have the Game Dev version but using 'about poser' my serial number is also shown with **** as the last four digits.

Personalise still shows the full serial number.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

There are lots of video tutorials out there for Poser, on YouTube etc.

Sometimes, when people haven't been very careful, you can see the serial number while the Poser app is loading ...

This makes things a little safer :-)

Thanks Snarly,

I think that is probably the correct answer. It makes sense.

It's listed as one of the changes made in the last Service release.

The change occurred in SR4.

See that is what happens when I only read the fixes and changes that I think will impact my use of Poser.
