Subject: Re-ignite Poser from a Not so newbie

after several years hiatus am heading pack into Poser-ville and yes its been years and lots has changed little bit is the same. Any suggestions formust havevs as I reconstruct my poser staples = i.e. which vicky or michael? Anything else I should add? Have photoshop CC for plst work and a Intuous tablet. 

Just as a fram of reference last time i was using Poser on a regular was around ver 6 & 7

oops sorry should have mentioned in the original post - just acquired Poser 2010 and i know i have a lot of vicky 4,2 stuff at the moment

most of the files and stuff i have are from around the time of Poser 7 should have been clearer about that

My msut haves are mostly scripts and addons

D3d's figure to prop and delete

Snarlygribble's Ezskin, scene fixer, Keep focus and ezmat

pretty much any texture from bagginsbill

Reality is also a good possibility. I use it a lot but that's bause I suck at poser lighting and it depends on what kind of images you do.

been a lot of updates to the material room, lights, and render settings.

figure joints updates.

There is also texture transformer that can convert V4 textures to Dawn (free from hivewire3d) and Roxie available in the market place here.

Weightmapping  will not work in Poser Pro 2010. Fortunately, all of your V4 stuff will. Weightmapping wasn't implemented until Poser 9/2012. And for the record, Genesis won't work in Poser 2010 either.

Thanks for the heads up on Genesis had been looking at some of that stuff. V4 works for me have plenty of V4 related content - again thanks for the feedback its very much appreciated

 I will second that without hesitation, I have so many Netherworks scripts and I have used them so much they are now part of Poser as far as I am concerned.  The last time did a Poser upgrade I hardly recognised the UI at all, had to shut down and install all of the Netherworks scripts before I was happy and able to use Poser. 

 

 

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
