Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 12:36 pm)
in each Poser, each background will turn transparent when exported as PNG. It's not just black, it's not just P10 (and it's not just PNG either).
So, use JPG or BMP instead, or add the background in Photoshop or alike afterwards, or add a black object for background in the scene (a dome or so).

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.
visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though
I always add the background layer in Paint Shop Pro afterwards, so it can be any colour I want, and I can add a more detailed background at any point.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
Thanks so much for your responses!
Hmmm. I have never noticed this before, but I guess I usually have something else in the background or am rendering animation. I think the problem with rendering to JPEG is that you loose some detail in the compression. PNG is a lossless compression, so I prefer to use it. I wish I could just check a box somewhere in Poser that says "don't make the background transparent."

Hey guys,
In Poser 10, I can't seem to render a black background to a PNG without it being interpreted as transparency/alpha. How do I get it to export with black as black?
Thanks!
