Subject: Materials not applying to Genesis 2 female

Hi guys

I have just returned after a lengthy spell of non Poser related activities.

Just bought PP 2014 and liking the improvements so far.

I am still in the process of re-acquainting myself with the software and getting used to what's new.

I have the genesis 2 male and female and the essentials etc.

I have installed them using the DAZ3D installer.

I installed them to the directory I installed PP2014 to which is not my primary drive.

I have installed the DSON installer to the same location which didn't show up in the scripts menu so I manually copied the files over to another instance of PP2014 on my primary drive (not sure why this is here as I installed PP2014 to a secondary drive as stated earlier) that is for the most part empty but seemed to do the trick and it now shows up in the scripts menu.

The problem is:

I load the G2 female and it works fine.

However, when I try to load materials such as eye colour they dont seem to work.

What I did notice was that the textures change in the material room but not on the G2 female figure standing in the pose room.

Is this something you guys have come across before.

Have you tried rendering?  Sometimes you don't see the change in the viewport but do see it in the render.

Did you notice two naming conventions for each material zone body part in the material room?

And from which model texture are you trying to apply?

I just had a quick check and there only seems to be one body part listed for each body part in the material room.

There are textures for a character called "Bree" These are in the material room under "Daz genesis 2 Female" heading.

Click and read the above links.  G2F has an entirely different naming convention for it's material zone which Poser does not recognize.  Apply D3D's script to correct this issue.

I haven't tried this yet but it is clearly the problem.

Many Thanks hborre and have a good christmas the rest of you :o)
