oh hush all of you .......... its the same as kids at kindergarten ~ my sweeties are better then yours

Lobo sent us all to CGmasters [t'other thread] (I'm a "member"  been flamed!!! first time in a week my ears where warm ) rofl did I kill someone nope just ask if I could use this in blender ......... je S us my highly polished (lazer proof) armour was blue for a week

BA was much the same if you "thought" about poser/DS  yet theres lots of threads in BA concerning poser/Ds now

my opinion is everything evolves......... blender gets better and better  heck poser gets better (its not a joke anymore ) Autodesk is a dinosaur tryna force the world into its path

ps I started in engineering with autodesk products

pps IF I have to delve back into engineering  I WANT Autodesk its cad talks to its cam and that talks to my machines without jumping hoops or dancing nekid round the old oak tree rofl

fancy a dance ??? offer only open to gurls in the summer months  ;-)

There's some things in this thread I never knew before.  THat whole thing about extruding from centers is so useful, and I never knew how to do that.  Thanks for sharing the information everyone.

Dinosaurs ruled the Earth for millions of years, millions longer than humans.  If Autodesk is a dinosaur, they have a long way to go before the meteor hits.  I don't know if BLender is that meteor.  So far, I don't see it.  Maybe in a million years? LOL.  I'm just kidding.

Maxxx, just a quick tip that may help; you can choose to extrude from vertex normals or individual faces without accessing the panel buttons by using ALT+E hotkeys instead of just E when doing an extrude on multple faces.  Also, the hotkey W brings up your specials, which contains a list of valuable tools I'm sure you'll be using often, like Remove Doubles, Hide selected geometry, and others.  You don't need to memorize 50 hotkeys, just the important ones.

You will find that Blender uses different terms for the same function in 3dsmax often, which you'll have to get used to.  For example, Remove Doubles is really just a vertex weld on selected sub-objects.  The merge distance is the same as threshold.

Indeed it is!  Thanks for the info, Lux!  Keep it coming!  I need all the support I can get in getting used to this Blender workflow.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.
