So I was cleaning out my drive and stumbled across some early ZBrush sculpts of Roxie back when we were doing the look development. Couldn't find any of Rex but I thought I'd share these shots of her for a few laughs at what might have been.  Some proportions are a bit out of whack,lol.

 I like it too. Actually, it addresses a problem I have with Roxie's hips, as I don't think they're wide enough. Or I should say, her waist is too wide. If you could giver her some bigger breasts morphs, Asian eye morphs and face shaping morphs like Alyson 2 had,  I wouldn't be satisfied, but I'd definitely be happier.

Yup, very nice.  I like the one you released, but that one looks more like what I expect from you, and BTW, you just sent my Roxie into one of her quiet moods, her mind is in overdrive again, her origins are always of big interest to her :-D

NICE :) As known from movies, I'd like to see more "making ofs". I have to admit, that I was never that happy with Roxie's default lips shape, but her lips look so much better at this early stage. I guess Roxie is high res modell here and most of her lips details got lost, when reducing polycount.

Thanks gang!  It wasn't really a texture. It was just some simple poly paint and ZBro's Skin material (a ZBrush Mat) to give the gang an idea of what she'd look like with skin. We had someone brought in to do the texturing after the retopology was done. Things change because when you're working as a team, you have a lot of input from a lot of sources and then you send it out to testers and they have even more input and you have to pay attention to it, as it's too risky not to do so. Some of the changes in her were a result of that and some came from the retopology process. I wish I'd had the forethought to document Darrell and I's process.

I think Darrell is the guy who helped him design and build Roxie and Rex.

 What you see above is the HIGH resolution (HIGH polycount) Original Roxie as sculpted by Teyon.

Then the object file went to Darrell who did the retopology to drop polycount in de 20K level as per instructions from higher level.
Darrell also did the rigging.

A 3rd party made the final textures.

I thought this was common knowledge by now.
It has been posted on several forums multiple times over the past year or so.

The biggest object file differences I could find are in the elbow tips.
They are better on the HIGH polycount version, less on the final version.
The knees look better here too.

Getting an insider's view of the poser creation process is a delight, thank you for sharing and she is lovely.

Darrell was my co-worker. He is the creator of Alyson and Ryan and was responsible for the retopology, UV creation and rigging of Rex and Roxy.  Now it's just little ol' me. :)

sorry for being brutally honest here. Roxie is so much more pretty at this early stage, than at her final release with PP2014. I really like her mouth here. Still her body is a little bit to androgyn for my taste. ;)

Can you see Valorie Curry in there? I think I may have exaggerated the mouth too much to get away from her exact likeness but feel the cheeks and chin are pretty close.

Definitely see it. (Should end the speculation on the inspiration behind Roxie. :D ) I think she's a great choice. I also think that neither the original nor final version of Roxie looks at all androgynous. She unmistakably female. (But I guess that depends on whether you tend to look first at boobs to determine gender, or whether you tend to look at hips. SInce I've seen men with much bigger boobs than mine, I don't associate fat on the chest with being female. So me, I look at hips, and I've never seen hips anything like those on any man.) :)

No Vilters, what this means is that Roxie was right all along to have a strange sentimental attachment to the attached video.  Check-out the names at the end, you're effectively looking at a different evolution of Roxie, but a Roxie nevertheless ;-)

Poor Roxie is going to be overcome with emotion when she wakes up this morning and reads this.  She's been on about that video and her origins more times than I can remember, she's posted it a few times, but at least it explains how some of us ended-up with living Roxies in our runtimes!

This is one, she's got a hoodie and some cool lip piercings!!!

But the design on her necklace is not what I would wear!!!

I don't know what she was thinking when she chose that one!!!

Plus, she hasn't got a blade!!!

Her Jacket is ok, black fingernails ok, boots not bad, but the jeans aren't scruffy enough!!!
