Subject: Problem with importing existing poser documents in another poser scene

solstice69 ( ) posted Sun, 08 March 2015 at 10:42 AM · edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 10:53 AM

Hi,

I think this is my first post. I work with Poser as a hobby and use Poser Pro 2014 at the moment (Windows 7, 64bit)

I just detected a problem that I hadn´t before with pervious versions and hope you can help me.

I´m working on a scene with many figures and because my PC isn´t the fastest, I created actions with figures (M4 and V4) separately to import them one by one, to the full scene. I´ve done that before and it worked.

Now, when I try to import them into the full scene, some of them don´t carry over their interactions/movements/positions in which I saved them,

but show them in "unfinished posstions" that I had some time while working on them.

Do you know how I can integrate them in the way they should be?

Thanks and best,
Solstice

Not sure, but when I do that I save the scenes I am going to import as a different name with no lights.  That way there is no history on the imported scene, and you still have the base to work from if need be at a later time.  I've yet to run into that issue.

I haven't seen this either.  Try saving the scene into the scene tab and load them back using the double check icon at the bottom of the Library.  IIRC, the double check should add to your current scene.

Hi, thanks for the hints! storing the scene under a new name with no name... this didn´t work... same result!

I´m sorry, how can I save a scene into the screen tab of library?

Best,
Solstice

Ok, found it, how to add it to the library! But again, same result... the scene is shown to me in the library like it should, but different when inserted (doubleclick).

Could be the reason that I used the same V4(M4s to create the different scenes?

Crosstalk between figures?  Could be possible.  Did you load new figures into the scene or duplicated them?

Also check to make sure you aren't using a different frame in the timeline.

I built the scenes in a way that I managed the figures, saved the file, changed the same figures and saved the second file etc.

So I used always the same models. Could that be my mistake?

I don't work with time frames.

Oh geez, you were right! It was indeed the time line frames! Somehow I activated them!!! Don´t know how this happened, but thanks alot!
