This has always worked just fine for me despite using all manner of obscure browsers (Pale Moon, Vivaldi, Older version of Opera).  It's just about the only thing about the forum I don't have a problem with.

So the drop down obeys the visibility settings for you? I'm on Chrome for Windows v.41.0.2272.118 and it doesn't. Nor does it on my Chrome for Android.
