Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
The names of the groups have to follow Poser protocol.
All groups start with a "small" letter; Example hip, and not Hip. (I think to remember a chapter in the manual about group names) Otherwise, load a default Poser figure and study the group names.
The tool is the tool here above, and the procedure is exactly the same as for material groups.
Select the polygons, create a group, and assign.
As easy as creating material groups. But the using the correct group names is very important.

Page 739 (and onwards) of the PoserPro manual lists all default Poser group names.
ATTENTION !!!!
The hierarchy editor shows the WRONG names; => You have to use the internal names as used in the manual on in the groups properties palette under "Internal names".

Since this seemed to be a more Poser-specific question, I'm posting this in the Poser forum instead of the Blender forum.
I need some help with learning to group for Poser figures when using Blender.
In a nutshell, I need to know:
a. How to create a grouping in Blender
b. What to name the grouping. Do I just name it Waist, Hip, Thigh, ect. or is thaqt where I have to name it according to Poser internal names or something?
