I apparently didn't refresh the thread before I posted, as the explanation was not there, so apology accepted. :)

However, this was the first I've heard from anyone from DAZ that their had been any change in the bug reporting, and I had noted over at DAZ that the bug link no longer worked.  As far as notifications in general, that has long been an issue at DAZ.  I never get notifications of subversion updates to Studio, going back to 4.0 (I do get the point version notices), and the thread in the Poser forum their regarding the DSON importer is still entitled "DSON Importer for Poser 1.1.3.50 General Release, Now Available!", even though 1.2.0.12 has been out for about two months. (So update your DSON Importer, folks!)

As I noted over at DAZ, the Limits bug report is two years old, and has propagated to Genesis 2.  I fix it manually when it is a problem, as I noted.

This is not intended to be a flame, but feedback from a  customer who is mostly satisfied, but is sometimes not....

PS: a note to Male_M3dia; I sent you a site mail here about someone over at the DAZ Poser Forum who is having issues with one of your products...

Thanks for letting me know about the update to the DSON importer.  I haven't seen any notification on it.

He's having installing issues not product issues as it looks like he's most likely installing files in the wrong location, like putting data files where the pcfs are located not where genesis is looking for morphs.

That's what it sounded like to me, too, but he's using DIM.  I always install my Poser CFs and DSON core files together and have no problems.  I wonder if he has more than one copy of Starter Essentials floating around his Library...

I have "only" 8 GB RAM and a four core processor but I'm able to load a Genesis 2 Male figure faster than a Michael 4 with base and ++ morphs in Poser Pro 2014. I really don't get the animosities displayed here or in other threads regarding some users who are also using DS or are vendors for them. I've seen a lot of Poser renders at Deviant and other places who are using the Genesis figures. So please Glitterati3D and vilters, keep in mind that there are users who want to be informed about the suitability of these figures in Poser or/and with third party render software. Only a minority of them is writing here as often as you do but that doesn't mean they don't exist and value the informations they get through others.

Unfortunately, DIM is not a very intuitive installer and someone, like myself, would have multiple runtime folders to maintain when installing various types of DAZ content.  Even my Genesis/Genesis 2 content are categorized into separate folders just for easy access.  But I always must remind myself to reset the target folder under preferences before installation.

If you have the Show Details box checked in DIM's Ready To Install tab you will get an information window that also has a button to switch between install libraries, no need to keep opening preference.

Really!  Definitely will check this hidden feature out.  Considering that I have hundreds of files waiting for download.
