Subject: Anyone know of a nice antebellum style mansion?

I'm thinking of the sort of building that you see through a grove of spanish moss laden trees. See image below for the sort of building I'm thinking of. I see Vanishing Point has one here, but it's a little simpler than I'd prefer. It doesn't have to be free, but affordable is kinda necessary and reasonably well textured too (my 2d skills are much worse than my 3d...which is pretty bad as it is, lol) Does anyone know of where I can find one? These are all I could find off hand.  The first one may work ... the second from Turbo Squid is of course pricey.

When the turbosquid models are good you can sort of understand the high prices, but the really sloppy stuff there is just as expensive. The proportions on that house are ... shall we say... interesting ;)
There are a few possibles at Google3Dwarehouse (sketchup models). If they are well made models they should convert to obj without too much drama.

While not exact, this one is 1) close and 2) free:

and, there's 21 pages of buildings (not all houses) to page through at that site: http://archive3d.net/?category=1055&page=1

a .3ds model is importable in Poser, so it doesn't have to be a downloaded OBJ, just FYI

Silly question ... can sketchup models be used in PP2014?

Not directly, but sketchup is free and there's a free obj exporter script for sketchup, so any model in the google warehouse could theoretically be used in poser at no cost and with just a few clicks to open it in sketchup and export it as obj. I say 'theoretically' because in reality even a good sketchup model can require a bit of cleaning up to get it across because SketchUp's n-gons don't always make the journey successfully. Add to that the fact that a lot of the models there are really badly made and can be more trouble than they are worth to transfer.

Thank you ... that helps a lot. :)

Wow! Lots of replies!

Obm, That first one is really nice. Thanks! I'll look at exporting it.

Glitterati, I REALLY like that one you linked too, but every time I clicked on the download link, it just gave me a facebook like page and then dumped me back to the index of their models:( Maybe it requires IE or something? (I'm on a mac)

Boni, thanks for the links. The first one there looks really good, but is it actually a 3d model? I actually like the dollhouse idea...that might make doing interiors easier. But, isn't that for wood cutouts? Maybe I'm totally confused:O
