the thing with the 3d printers, model has to be water tight,
but, how do you know if model is water tight?  
does the printer warn you before it tries to print?

And, *why" has it to have no holes (which the term "water-tight" means I suppose). What happens if there are small holes present? Gamma ray flux overflow in 3D Printing Module, leading to immediate warp core breach? Mr. LaForge, I want ANSWERS! ;)

does nostril glow mean model is not water tight?

I don't think so...
V4 has "water-tight" nostrils yet had that problem with some textures.
I think it might have to do with some textures still using Ambient_Color/Value settings to avod them looking pitch black.
I use IDL and my own shader tree for V4, and the nostrils use the same shader as the rest of the figure. Never had problems with nostril glow since then.

I might be wrong about the cause of nostril glow... but it works for me.

there is quite a quite a few proggys (addons to proggys) to check if something is "watertight" , I would think a good printer comes with some soft to check although maybe not to fix !!!

ps what do you think a food printer would do with hot vit lon  ( balut ) tried to post a link but it wont let me... then thinking about it ! its maybe best if you google it   pps if you got a "delicate" tummy avoid the pics rofl

it's a feat of science how they pack that much sugar into a lil pellet. 

someday a 3d printer will use sugar filament. will taste better than plastic
