Subject: Shoes not fitting

I have some shoes that I think are really cute and would love to use but I can't get them to work. The cr2 is called a4-v4_highheel01. When I load them, they look like this.

When I conform them, they look like this

I click include scales and they look like this

Does anyone have any suggestions, besides the fitting room? I tried that but can't get them placed properly.

was thre a pose for the feet ?   you might try bending the feet. On some figures the foot when zeroed is pointing down.

There was a pose, but even with it, it didn't help. The shoes moved with the foot.

Did you try playing with IK , ON and or OFF.
Old shoes had an issue with IK

Try both, the figure and the shoes.

were the shoes a commercial product or a freebie  ?

are you certain they are for your figure ?

worst case you could export each shoe and make them props.

Does your figure have A4 morphs? Shouldn't be an issue for shoes, but certainly can be for clothes.

Clear the figure, delete the shoes. Add foot pose FIRST then bring in the shoes. Tick add morphs and add scales.

Final option (as a test, really), DON'T conform the shoes, parent them to the foot. Pose will then not impact the shoe. Will let you be sure it will fit.

Try zeroing the shoes before you conform them.

Can you do a quick render of the shoes unconformed with default textures?  Maybe some of us can identify the shoes and see if we have them and offer more help to you.

I think they were free.

The name says V4-A4 so I'd say it was a good bet. I did try vicky 4.0 (rather than the updated one but no luck)

Tried with and without morphs no help. I even tried with Stephanie.

started a new scene. Added the figure. Posed the figure. Added the shoes. Conformed them. Didn't help. New scene. Added shoes first. Added figure. conformed shoes. added pose. nope.

I can't parent the shoes because they're one figure, but I can move vicky's feet to match them and they seem to fit.
Try zeroing the shoes before you conform them.
Tried that too

And here are the shoes

Well, they are VERY cute shoes, but I don't have them.  There aren't many who can model shoes that well, though.  Did you try hunting up LaurieA to see if they might be a freebie of hers?

Short of that try the following:

Load JUST the shoes

Zero the Figure, making sure the Shoes>Body is selected on the drop down menu

Edit>Memorize

Save a new CR2

That SHOULD solve the problem.  I hope.

There was a pair of shoes I bought for V4 a long time ago that did something similar. I contacted the vendor and he had a link to an updated version. Something different between V4.0 and V4.2 was the problem.
