Subject: Anton's changine pony tail questions...

BTW - I like this set as well :) 1) Does anyone know the X/Y/Z translation numbers to get this to sit right on a Vicki2 loaded in the "stock" pose? The numbers int he readme don't work well. 2) Are those translation numbers right? When I put in .0016 it rounds off to .002 anyway. 3) Is there any way to lower the peak a bit? It's great hair but the top is pretty "puffy". I can use the :lower" morph but that doesn't totally solve the problem. Maybe a rotation? The dial a tail thing rocks by the way :)

I use the y-translate on the ponytail to move it down a bit. That seems to take care of the peaking problem for me. I haven't had to arrange the hair if I add it to Vicky "right out of the box". But if I move her at all, forget about it!

Soulhuntre - you DO set a value like .0016 by typing it in. Although the dial reading will round off, the value will be set as such, not the rounded value. Another example is -0.0005, which reads on a dial as -0.000. However you lose the precise setting if you click the dial again; it resets to the rounded value. If you look at Poser files in a text editor, for morph dial values that you set by turning the dials (instead of typing in values) you'll see all sorts of long decimal numbers. Which is why when you really need a specific value, especially zero, you better type it in. Poses can be made to set values to fourth place accuracy; I use lots in my MikeMagicEyes pose files to get Michael figures' eyes exactly where they should be.

Thanks for the replies... maybe Vicki2 loads ina different pose? It's just not lining up right. Something is seriously confused :)

Thanks, I am back here now that I can afford it. We bid on a job that will need 6-7 HOURS of Poser/Mimic animationt o stream from the web. Big job, and now I am able to play with 3D with a clear conscience.

Hi there, This has been a reoccuring point of confusion. Beleive it or not the hair fits perfectly. Vicki is not in her true default position. The daz cr2 has her "posed". To put her in her true default position do this: 1)Turn off the IK for her legs 2)OPen the joint editor and click "Zero Figure" 3)Select the hip and then the "Body" and zero each by hand. The y tran will be off before you do. Not the hair will load in and line up with her perfectly unless you have y scaled Vicki. Save her this way. Never sure why Vicki was saved in that odd pose. Regards, Anton

Thanks Anton! You know, you might want to consider putting a Vivki2 pose file in the install, just so this is a 1 click operation ?
