Subject: Is there a way to quickly edit the Shopping Cart?

3dstories ( ) posted Fri, 03 July 2015 at 8:24 PM · edited Sun, 05 January 2025 at 4:00 PM

Whenever I want to add or delete an item I get the spinning ball. Gad! It's time consuming!

I have gone through the Buried treasure list and have a large wishlist. Now I want to turn the cart wishlist into a buy list.

IS there a way to do a 'reset' or blanket delete to start over? Or do I have to do each item , one at a time???

At the very top of your wishlist you will see different colored boxes/options. The first one on the left is a checkmark that will check ALL for you if that is what you want. You can use that and then  hit delete/Move to Cart on all checked items. Hope this may make it a little easier.

I'll look for it. It took me about half an hour to delete all the 'Wishlist' items for the sale before first buying a gift certificate, so that would be helpful (figure an average of 5-10 seconds per spinning ball deletion, and start with an Enormous wishlist this time of about $500 that had to be severely paired back, and assume that every half dozen items or so  you have to take a pause in the robotic-like routine)...

I've made the recommendation before that Rendo might consider having multiple 'wishlists' that can be ported to a cart.

There is a long-term wishlist that gets big.

But for any given sale of any length, I ususally have to go through it, create a list of all the potential items I want, then whittle it down to what I can afford. When there is a sale that lasts multiple weeks or crosses budget cycles then it would be nice to keep the items in the sale wishlist.

Thank you for the response. Sorry you have to work today. Hope you get outside and the weather is nice!

:) I'm happy to be here to help if I can.

Nope. Doesn't work.  Sorry.

I'm talking about the cart. The wishlist has turned into a Long-term wishlist and is too long to be used for specific sales (there isn't a way to sort a wishlist for ONLY items that appear in, say, the 'buried treasure' sale, for example.

So the cart becomes both cart and temporary sales wishlist.

There is no way I can see of editing a cart easily. There are only the 'Continue Shopping' and 'Proceed to Checkout' buttons.

Each item has to be dealt with individually.

Yes, on the cart there is only the ability to do it by product. The wishlist is the only area where there is the multiple select tool. Sorry I can't be of more help.

This is one of the reason I rarely shop here these days. I used to load up a cart with things from the sales department then go in and take out things until it was at a total I could afford - but it has become so time consuming I usuall give up half way through and just leave it, then of course when I see something I want  my cart is loaded up with things from the previous sale and to take all the items out one by one on such a slow system takes away the urge to buy.

This whole site seems determined to drive away customers rather than encourage them.
