Hey everyone--

It's come to my attention that some members are confused about how to change their profile settings or where to find them for that matter. So, here's a walk-through on how to find them.

Click on your avatar and find "settings."

From there, you can edit your profile or edit your gallery, forum, vendor or freestuff settings.

In "gallery" settings, you have the option to filter out language, nudity or violence:

You can also alter your forum settings:

You don't have to see nudity in the freestuff area either:

The birthdate option is still one day off. Could you remind the programmers to fix that, please?

Hey @auntiek-- Have you tried to update your birthdate in the settings? I just looked at my birthdate and it's set to the correct date.

Yes. Several times. The last time was just before I asked about it, because I thought maybe it had been fixed when I wasn't looking.

I put in May 11, 1958, and when I hit the update button, it comes up as May 10, 1958.

Are you going to "view profile" "edit profile" and then manually putting in your birthday?

I've done it with the calendar AND manually. Neither works. Both ways comes up with May 10th.

When I went to look at your profile, it does say, "May 11, 1958." Take a look:

Wow, that's weird, because after I saw it said May 10th, I went back and deleted the information. It should be blank!

Well, as long as it's there, and it's right, it's all good. I didn't want to make it say the 11th by putting in the 12th, because I figured when they got around to fixing the problem, it would be wrong again!

Hubby just tried to put his in, and it showed up as November 7 instead of November 8, but when I look at his profile, it says November 8.

Okay ... it's fixed ... I'm done. Got more important things to bother you about now! LOL!

Hmmm ...

A friend mentioned that one HAS to put in the year of their birth. It isn't optional. A lot of us are old and would prefer people not know exactly HOW old! LOL! I don't personally mind, but there are people who are declining to put in their birthdates because they won't share the year they were born.

Any chance of making the birth year optional?

Oh no! You're not telling everybody how ancient I am on top of all the other 'features' are you? Grrrrrrr!
