Subject: can I stop the display of images from a particular artist in the gallery?

Lucien_Lilippe ( ) posted Mon, 07 September 2015 at 1:52 AM · edited Fri, 08 November 2024 at 12:38 AM

Bonjour à tous, I never want to see images of an artist in the gallery. Is it possible ? I will not name him, but now a person invades the gallery with pictures without interest (to me). When there are two or three images, it seems to me normal (everyone is free to love what he wants), but dozens every day! This borders on harassing! Especially since it prevents a clear view of the others!

KimberlyC ( ) posted Mon, 07 September 2015 at 1:57 AM

Hello!

I'm sorry at this time there is not an option to ignore another member in the gallery. There is in the forum but not gallery. I'm sorry. I will bring this option up for future consideration. :)

Thanks! :)

Thanks for the response. But there is no limit to post by day. It's seems to me hasardous for you to continue in this sens. One only personne could fill all the trend! It is not far from the case now, either. ;)

If you feel the images violate the TOS? :)

Hmm, I thought we had a limit of 1 per day, must've changed as I haven't posted an image in such a long time.

Kimberly, since you're responding here, I'll ask you this, where is the upload button? I have an image I want to upload but since this update, I can't find where to upload it. Also, what's the new size (demision & mb) limit of both the image and icon?

...wolfie

Lucien_Lilippe ( ) posted Mon, 07 September 2015 at 2:53 PM

KimberlyC ( ) posted Mon, 07 September 2015 at 11:29 PM

jamminwolf: You can find the upload button on the main page under "upload" or also by going to Galleries>Home (green upload button on right hand screen on that page). :)

Lucien_Lilippe ( ) posted Tue, 08 September 2015 at 5:06 AM

KimberlyC ( ) posted Tue, 08 September 2015 at 11:20 AM

I too wish that one could block an artist * no name mentioned * as it is rediculous to scroll to TONS of their Images just to see Images of other Artists. WHY oh WHY is this allowed. I do understand you want to get new prime members, but PLEASE not on the expense of all the other Artists that get overlooked since no one whants to scroll though all the images of the ONE person first.

yes, "ignore" button in gallery would be great! I've been avoiding gallery the last few years so I don't see various repetitive posts.

YES, I need an ignore button, I do not even look in the Daz Gallery now since that one person is just posting and posting and posting...

Salmissra ( ) posted Wed, 09 September 2015 at 10:35 PM

I don't ever post here, but I agree with everyone else. Either give us an ignore button or limit daily postings to, say, maybe five or so per day. I understand being a prime member and being proud of your work, but this individual is just bombing the gallery and after five or six pics in a row I vomit just a bit trying to scroll through the ad-nauseum posts. i really thought the "new" would wear off for this person, but it looks like that is not in the cards.

I 100% agree with what you are saying. I stopped looking in the Gallery as I know I will have to scroll to hundrets of this persons images.

Either give us an ignore button or PLEASE limit the daily upload :(

I think 3 images a day are reasonable. I wouldn't expect even my most loyal fans to comment on, say, 5 or more new images from me on a given day!

You are right, and for prime members even 5, I would not mind, but this is just to much. It has put me right of the galleries, that and this endless scrolling that at one point than just stops dead in its tracks and you can not view older images.

Salmissra ( ) posted Sun, 13 September 2015 at 1:00 AM

Don't get me wrong, I lurk in the galleries a lot! I love seeing what everyone posts. The images make me smile, laugh and/or think. I just don't see unlimited uploads being anywhere near uplifting or fun, except for the person making those images. It doesn't mean I don't like them, because I really, really do. (within reason!) Perhaps my attention-span is not conducive to that many uploads per day and it's all on me. :)

helanker ( ) posted Sun, 13 September 2015 at 9:58 AM

Isnt it enough just to press the UNFOLLOW botton in the persons gallery? It must be because you are following the person, isnt it?

helanker ( ) posted Sun, 13 September 2015 at 10:01 AM

I would just wish sooo much to be able to delete the uploads on the list in activity feed, that I have already seen. That is my biggest problem now.

hopeandlove ( ) posted Fri, 18 September 2015 at 12:00 PM

We've limited the amount of uploads, so you no longer have to worry about members posting image after image after image. Thanks!

Hope,

can you tell us what the new limitations are set for now, please?

thanks!

KimberlyC ( ) posted Fri, 18 September 2015 at 9:30 PM

Currently unlimited is limited to Prime memberships only. :)
