My emails have a link to my gallery here on Renderosity but I've been told by friends that they have not been able to gain access as a message says the site is under construction or words to that effect. Can you tell me if I have to change the wording now in order that the gallery can be seen? This is what I have on my letters now:- http://excalibur.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?username=Jennyfnf Thankyou for your help.

We are currently undergoing maintenance.

Thank you for your patience, we will return soon!

Hey @Jennyfnf-- when I went to your actual gallery, I didn't see this message. Where is this link coming from? Thanks so much!

hello!

'excaliber' in that URL is actually from the old site, as is the 'http' instead of 'https'...

here is your new link to use... test it first to make sure it works as i sometimes goof on copying things:

Thankyou all very much for your help. If you know me you will also know that I have not got a clue about computers, email settings or anything. I seem to have got into a big pickle. I wish I had left it alone for now I thought I had changed it but I cannot click on the link to take me straight through to my gallery. I have to copy and paste....... is this how it is to be?.

Thankyou Hope, I put this on my email letters but clicking does nothing - I still have to cope and paste. It was so easy before I started messing with the settings. Anyway - I'll just leave it and thankyou all. It's not the end of the world - just a little ego trip on my emails.. jenny

Hope - I do not know how to make it clearer. My outward emails used to have a link to my gallery at Rendo. My friends say the link no longer works - when they click on it they are told that work is being done on the Site, so when I asked for help from the Forum I was told that the link I had did not work any more and was given a new link. I have tried to put this in my email settings in Outlook but although it is there - clicking on it does not do anything. Sorry - my knowledge is very basic. I can write a letter and I can do fractals and use graphics programmes. I don't even know how I got here. As I said it does not really matter...it was just handy.I have managed to muddle through most things for three quarters of a century so I'm not going to get in a lather. I am going to have my tea - fish and chips and a cup of tea. Thankyou Hope. I think I'm a lost cause:-)

Hi Jenny,

The reason your old link doesn't work is because the website address has changed, and it's now a dead link.

To make a new link in your email program, you'll need to go into your email settings where your signature line is (I don't know which program you're using, so can't help you with that part).

Delete the old link.

Go to your gallery on Renderosity, and RIGHT click the address bar at the top of your screen that begins https://www.renderosity ...

You'll see a drop-down menu, where you can click "Copy."

Now go back to your email program where you want to insert the link into your signature line.

Put your cursor where you want the link to be.

RIGHT click in that space.

You'll see a drop-down menu where you can choose "Paste."

Now save your work in your email program.

That ought to do it!

Hope that helps.

Sorry for the delay in replying Tara. I did as you suggested but it means I have to add the information each time I send a letter. I think I will have to speak to someone who uses Outlook as their mail programme so I can embed it. Thankyou very much for your advice - much appreciated.
