Subject: Can't Open a Carrara File. (Solved)

This has been talked about in the past, but if you search in the forums there is no title for this.

To assist the community here is my take on getting out of trouble.

Very interesting, I would never in a million years have come up with this fix. Thanks. My general approach is to save any modified CAR file with a sequential number, XXX2.CAR, XXX3.CAR, etc., never deleting any file until I have reloaded the next in the sequence. So I don't lose a lot, most of the time.

Multiple versions is essential, so good job. However sometimes you inherit a problem and only notice the next day. Then you are backing out multiple versions, so this ficx is worth having in hand. :)

Agreed, I recall having that problem. I doubt there is any Carrara problem I have not had.

Yeah, Gets easier 2nd time around if you make a note of what you did first time. Hence all my tutorials. :)
