I really am missing that I can see who I send a sitemail to. Now I only see my own icon. But I know that it was I who send it.

Could we have the icon to whom we send it instead please?

Never noticed that before. It would be better to show the icon of who it was sent to rather than who it was sent from in this instance in the Sent folder... cause you can I think be sure that if it is in your Sent folder you actually were the one that sent it :) Unless of course the gremlins get into the system... and then all bets are off ;)

In all seriousness having who you sent it to is better reference than the current state.

is there any way to get back the ability to know if a sitemail has been read by the recipiant the way we were able to prior to the site change? whenst i first asked about this over a month & a half ago, i was told that we had it, but we actually do not [i think the mod who responded did not take into account the special mod powers that we simple forumites lack]. i informed that we do not, but never received any kind of response back.

any update at all on this after all this time?

Giana, you are able to see when the person read the message on the actual message. Are you asking for the sent page to show it has been seen correct? If so, I'll bring this up but I'm not really sure if that will come back since it already states on the message it was see and the time it was. :)

what i'm referring to is if i sent you a sitemail, and then you read it, but have not responded, i have no idea if you've seen it or not. now as an admin, for you, you actually can in fact see whenst a note has been read, responded to or no, but as a simple member, i cannot unless i get a response back, and only then can i see the date/time of the returned response. or am i missing something...???

i understand that all features/functionality cannot be restored with this new design. on the old site though, we could see that a mail had been read, which was useful in terms of contacting merchants should we encounter an issue, or if we had a question. in the former scenario, it also helped in determining if/when, as a customer, to ask a staff member to step in if a mail had been read by a merchant, yet no response was forthcoming. i was always under the impression that it was/is preferable that customers & merchants try to resolve things betwixt themselves prior to harrying staff for assistance, and unfortunately there are merchants who will read a mail, but who will also not respond back in a timely fashion. the old functionality allowed for us to know if a merchant was being negligent, or was simply just not around to answer. it was a good gauge of which merchants were providing customer service/support vs. those who could care less once they had your monies.
