It seems that when uploading an image to the gallery, it doesn't get uploaded if credits are added. It seems to go through the upload process, but one gets a broken image on the galleries. It happened 5 times today, and it only uploaded when I didn't add any credits.
@Giana-- Starting today, if you see issues, please bring them up. But, if you already brought them up in the MP, they've noted them and either are taking care of them or have noted the issues. Thanks for asking!
@Doctorjellybean-- When I clicked on the link to view your "broken image," I didn't see one. Which vendor and vendor credits are you listing? Have you been uploading the same image as well as adding the same vendor credits/vendor? Let us know! Thanks! Have yout tried in Chrome as well to see if it's happening in that browser?

No, it isn't broken as I finally uploaded it without any vendor credits. The problem appears to arise when trying to upload an image as well as vendor credits at the same time. The vendors I was trying to add were Fabiana, Sveva and OutOfTouch. It worked before in Firefox, and the FF version is 41.0.
Okay-- so, when you try to add one of these vendors, your image is broken, correct? Depending on the vendor, I'd like to know what "Vendor credits" you're listing. Ex: Fabiana, "7Hearts."

Fabiana - Tethra Jewels for G3F
Sveva - SV's Geometrics Earrings G3
outoftouch - Slay Dress for Genesis 3 Female(s)
Hm.... that's quite odd actually because when I tried Fabiana's mine was fine. Would you mind e-mailing me the image and thumbnail so I can test it? hopeandlove@renderosity.com Thanks so much!

@Giana and anyone else wondering--just to clarify things a bit, the thread started here is for Gallery/Community type issues while the thread started in the MP Customer Support forum are for issues in the Markeplace side of things.
For example: cart issues, wishlists, checking out, etc.
I hope this helps and as always, we appreciate all of you and thank you for all you bring to Renderosity

You are still serving the full size images as Gallery 'thumbnails' in all (to the best of my knowledge) cases where the originally uploaded thumbnail was smaller than the new minimum requirement, and the user hasn't manually created and uploaded a new thumbnail.
The purpose of thumbnails is twofold:
(1) A thumbnail is much smaller in size (pixels wide/high) so you can see several/many of them on a single page.
(2) A thumbnail image is much smaller in size (bytes) so it will download much quicker and use far less bandwidth than the fullsize image.
Serving the full size image and using HTML/CSS/JQuery to display it at a reduced size (which is what appears to be happening) meets criterion (1), but fails criterion (2)
(Reported 3rd September - https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2893633 )
The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

I've been steering clear of Renderosity for the past month in the hope that problems will have been fixed, so I've only just spotted this response. The link you give is to the "Gallery Questions" thread which contains a single post by yourself with a link to the "Gallery Updates" thread. The only relevant comment there is in the OP "...A lot of legacy thumbnails are now blurry...to fix this issue we are simply displaying a scaled version of the display image ONLY IF the original thumb is below the current minimum size. (Some of this is still being converted)..." - and I quoted that post when I originally reported the problem ... round and round in circles ! :)
I understood from the "...(some of this is still being converted)..." that Renderosity were regenerating thumbnails from the original images to meet the new size criteria.
Is this correct ?

I solved the issue - I deleted my whole gallery.

I can understand the feeling, but I stopped short of doing that. Instead I just avoided this place for a few weeks. Now I can once again look at the problems which still exist in a calm fashion.
Since this thread is no longer stickied I'm going to keep bumping it until I get a sensible answer (and 'sensible' doesn't necessarily mean one that I like - just one that is honest and correct) to each outstanding question that I have.
v v v v v
So here's the first very simple question that I would like an answer to, repeated, with minor changes, from my previous post here regarding the gallery thumbnails:

I understood from the "...(some of this is still being converted)..." in the OP of the the "Gallery Updates" thread that Renderosity were regenerating thumbnails from the original images in question to meet the new size criteria.
MY QUESTION: Am I correct ?

When the system was regenerating the images they were not the correct size so they were being stretched which caused them to be blurry. That all has been fixed now. Does that answer your question? :)
The problem I see is not fixed, and I now accept that Renderosity will never fix it. Never mind. I've started redoing all the thumbnails for all my old nudity/violence flagged pictures so that I can at least view my own gallery without the problem. (I think this is the point where I just give up and accept that although I rather dislike almost everything about the new Rendersosity, I can live with it. And history gives us many warnings about that attitude! LOL )
