Subject: Wet, oily, tan M4 skin?

seeker ( ) posted Sun, 25 October 2015 at 8:40 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 4:24 PM

I know this has been discussed to death but I really want to make an image in poser that features a sweaty, oily, tan athlete.

There's this really great product in Daz and I was wondering if there's a ready to render solution for poser. I've been using DS now and again but I don't feel comfortable with it and I want to use poser to make the image.

So is there any package that can achieve this effect? I know there's a couple for the girls but is there anything for m4? I've been using EZmat2 but the results are not really what I want. Any pointers on how to change the nodes or any available wet maps?

Any help would be great!

Have you seen this tutorial? It's for Poser 7 but should work in most other versions, and it does take a while, but if you get a result you like you of course can save it as a preset.

EZSkin2 under the "Effects" option. Its' about the 5th Snarleygribbley script.

Thank you for the suggestions but I have tried both with little success. The thing is that I was looking mainly for the streaks of sweat running down his body.

I finally took the time and converted a V4 pack for him but there's a region in his back that for some reason ends up dry. It's also not very visible with SSS but I can live with this. The good thing is that this way I can use these wet maps in any M4 texture with just a click.

He does looks good. Is it just a map with a wet texture or something like this?

It's not that difficult to convert a v4 pack for m4 and it can be used with any texture you want. It does take some time to do it but it's a one click solution after that and I like the results.

It is a full figure with maps, MAT files in the Pose section and character morphs. The link you offered here is no longer available in the store. Too bad because it IS beautiful. Sorry I missed it. I wonder why so many Mil4 stuff is disappearing from the store here? If I could learn how to convert V4 textures foe M4 I would be mighty happy. How do you convert them?

You can easily convert textures with this tool.

http://www.daz3d.com/texture-convertor-2-tc2

It even makes you the pz2 file.

For this M4 I used this pack

http://www.daz3d.com/universal-wet-maps-and-orcamaid

Just remember to change the references to the python scripts as well if you do get it. It's a great pack.

Ask vincebagna. He was able to achieve a very nice sweat effect as shown on this thread.

Looks very good but I'm worried about the long rendering times mentioned. My PC is old and rusty, I doubt it could take the pressure :)
