Hey folks!

I just wanted to say Happy Veterans Day! I'm going to write-up an article, but need your help!

What does Veterans Day mean to you?

Being a Vet who grew up in a different generation than the current it meant to honor and remember those who served and paid the ultimate price for the freedoms and liberties that this country once stood for. In current political correctness times I feel that message has been lost. What I mean by that we as a country have forgotten all the freedoms that were fought for and are now being given up with such a passivity that most think Veterans day is just a day to remember dead soldiers but not what they died for. I love my country was glad to serve it but disappointed in what it has become and is becoming.

I am a vet. I served in Iraq in 2003. At the time I was over there I was one of the youngest females serving over there. Now I'm 36 and disabled because of the war but if it wasn't for the war I never would have found digital art and the world of 3D. I was sitting at home bored all the time and notice a lot of beautiful art on the web so I did the research and started teaching myself. Art has helped me mentally with the disabilities that I have.

The holiday means a lot to me but there is not a lot of 'celebration' to it like many other holidays.
