Try this... Before you conform shoes to figure, click properties tab of shoes on parameter palette. Check box 'include scales when conforming'. Conform shoes to figure.

What bones did you include in the rigging for the shoes?

I advise people to include the hip bone in any shoe rigs. The reason is that if you do not, Poser can't accurately deal with changes in scale. For instance, I just bought a collection of a bunch of shoes. I don't need to buy models, since I like doing my own, but these seemed to be good time-savers. But, not one of the rigs included the hipbone, so they're virtually useless for any figure setup that includes scale changes to the legs, since they will not be able to interpret the relative changes in joint centers.

If you did not include the hip bone in your rigging, it is doubtful that checking "include Scales when conforming" option on the object menu will be satisfactory. Change the rigging to include the hip bone and then change the bone scales by hand, in your shoe figure, if you don't have a Poser version that includes that automatic feature "include Scales when conforming" in it. (It will be found in the Object/Figure main Menu if you have a suitable version of Poser.)

Hope you got this all sorted out. I have such a hard time rigging anything except shoes. Yes, make sure you add the hip. Oh, when you modeled it, did you model the shoe around the foot while it was in the default position? That could also be causing a problem if you didn't.

Have a creative day!
