Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 5:11 pm)
I'm not going to be much help, but what it looks like to me is........
Flipped normals on those parts.
Now, I'll add complete speculation...since it appears at each "fold" in the fabric I'm guessing someone used ZBrush/Sculptris to put in the folds and these areas only are triangle polygons.
If you could post a wireframe screen capture, we might be able to help a bit more. Although, if I am correct, the only solution will be a retopology of the jacket and a re-rig.
I am guessing, though.

I have set up the character materials to all one color by setting the color in the diffuse color. There are no other nodes. All settings in the poser surface are identical. The black areas do not correspond to any material group but are part of a group that has its settings set identically to all the other material groups. The black areas do not show in the preview, only in the render. There is a single light in the scene that is infinite and set to illuminate the front of the figure. I am running Poser Pro 2014. Anyone have any idea what is causing this and how to correct it?
Thanks!
