Subject: Importing 3d objects from different locations into Poser Pro 11

Please advise for a beginner, understanding that all images going into Poser Pro 11 are zip files and must not be opened when importing into Poser interface, what are the steps to saving all zip files and proper location in Poser? Once the image is saved, for example from Sketch up, what are the steps to finding them in the library? Understanding that Poser Pro 11 works differently depending on which Windows your computer is working in as well, can not find YouTube vids breaking down these basic steps as one using Windows 10.

I'm very sorry, but I do not understand your question.
Most Poser Products are zip files, which must be unzipped into any runtime before you can use them.

Object files, such as those from Sketch up would be imported as wavefront Objects via File > Import > WaveFront Object. It is perfectly usable as is.

If you intend this to be a prop, you would select it and choose Edit > Memorize > Object then choose the appropriate options.... and click the PLUS sign at the bottom of an appropriate folder in your Props Library Window and save it.

If you want it to be a character, you'd Click Edit > Memorize > Figure and it will go to the New Figures Folder in Characters in the POSER 11Content Runtime. All you supply here is the name.

If you are using the default install, you probably need to be logged on as administration so you can write to the protected folders.

There is no default selection into protected folders (i.e., Program Files) when installing Poser Pro 11. The default is a share folder or another area or drive of your choice.

Thank you, your advise regarding "Object files, such as those from Sketch up would be imported as wavefront Objects via File > Import > WaveFront Object. It is perfectly usable as is"....these objects are not showing textured in my Poser interface? Is this normal? Putting that same object from my Poser library shows it textured and in color. Apologize in advance for any elementary questions but still going through a huge learning curve.
