Has Renderosity started doing their weekly holiday giveaway of freebies? I haven't seen any announcements on the website and I really can't even find any when I try and look.

You beat me to the punch on asking the question. I could be wrong but I don't think they are going to do it. They seem to be doing special vendor discount events but no freebies as of yet, and I for one am not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen. Change is a funny thing, sometimes you get chocolate other time you get dog droppings. Personally I like chocolate, and christmas vendor freebies.

This is usually done 12 days before Christmas so please keep your eyes and ears open and don't give up hope just yet

read carefully - apparently, this year you need to be receiving newsletters from the site in order to get your freebies... so not quite free, but close enough for most folks, i suspect...

KristiS, I am confused. You say that the e-mail route was the norm for the past few years but I remember that the process was each week for 4 weeks a set of freebies would be available from the PAs. Now maybe the link to the page where the group of gifts were located was presented through an e-mail. That part I don't remember but I am pretty sure I could access the week's gifts from the home page. I have been collecting Rendo since 2009 and been getting the newsletter from that time as well. I have received today's Rendo newsletter but there is nothing in there about Christmas gifts, neither the prizes, the coupons nor freebies. To be honest when I read about this change I was a little disappointed in the change in delivery. Before it was like Christmas morning once a week. I understand that things can change and that this gifting is all voluntary. And that we as the receivers we may have not been as appreciative as we should be so a change may have been warranted but gosh I sure miss the old way. It was such fun!

The News Post says the newsletters with the 12 Days information will start arriving Monday the 14th, but I've not yet received a newsletter today; I usually get Rendo Newsletters in the early morning. I've been subscribeds for years, and got a notice the other day about the Vendor of the Month, lilflame......

so... i was waiting for what used to be a freebie galore before the holidays, don't ask me how it was or wasn't called like, last year or something. then i read those posts and comments about 12 days of xmas and ofc i think that's it. even if 24th minus 12 days... never mind. and then today as announced here comes the newsletter. and instead of a freebie galore for EVERYONE all i see is a lottery for one winner. yeah i know, there will be days where all of us will get something - whatever it might be, since imho a coupon or discount isn't really a freebie hence i don't hold my breath - but well it's not what i expected. you know, the weekly page with all those thumbs with free freebies on click.

yeah yeah inorite, nag nag and wtf and whine and bitch, that's me all right. but guys, srsly? is this only me getting pissed off all over the place for no reason, but if so then why was my tone totally different and pleased, glad and happy last year? dont tell me I MYSELF just changed that much. am i hallucinating or did everything here somehow change for the less gooder????

Today's Newsletter was a big let down. But then, it goes well with the rest of the new Renderosity. We had the lamest sales event ever and it seems Christmas will be no exception.

well, at least someone received the newsletter. i double checked just now, and though it looks as if that option is ticked within my profile so that i'm able to receive newsletters, i never got one. and yes, i DID looked in my spam folder as well... t'is a mystery, i guess...

Just checked my download folder and there is the one from last year titled 2014 Rendo Xmas Freebies...... have such titles as 3DSublime Backgrounds 49378 AJ Steam Power Plant 49413 Anagord Denim Jeans Textures 49290 Frozen Star Classical Frames 49313 and 46 other zips...................................

The whole format has changed. Apparently no more free content, just a chance to win something by lottery. Bummer.

Very disorganized promotion. It seems like a major creative organizing force has left Renderosity?
On the free download page I am excited by things like Flinks Christmas tree prop and can't wait to open them. Thank you to all vendors! But Rendo doesn't seem to have given the vendors ample credit or any real support in the posting of the Christmas gifts. Unless it says who did them, I can't see on many. I don't know who Santa's particular elf was and sometimes it's not even clear what the gift is supposed to be. TDF Zani - Character? HairFigure? Hair Texture? Skin Texture? From the thumb, looks quality, though!
