every time i close out Firefox, my temp is dumped, not to mention, the above screenshot is the first time ever i've been through that user's gallery, so, no, caching is not the issue. and i manually dump the cache like every other day just to be certain.
also, as i said, it is not only happening in an individuals' gallery, but randomly within my own 'Favourite Images' page. i've had this occur with other user's galleries as well, and not just the above mentioned user. for example, Syyd's gallery has done this before, as has others. if i could suss out any kind of pattern, believe me, i would've posted my thoughts/findings/etc. along with the screenshot since being thorough whenst reporting an issue is paramount, but as far as i can tell, there is no pattern, or as stated, consistency...

ok, so here is a screenshot of my fav images pages, with Anders' thumbnail missing which was there two days ago. and a screenshot of the first page of his gallery. so, i can assume it has nothing to do with older thumbs giving issue. and i can assume that it has nothing to do with thumbs prior to the sites redesign, as that was in the third week of August and you can see missing thumbs that have dates after that time period. beyond that, i'm out of ideas. i can only recommend trying to troubleshoot yourself and see if you get the same results, and/or turning this over to the programmer[s] to troubleshoot since that is part of the point of having them on the payroll, yea? ;)
personally, i don't care about this, as i'm perfectly willing to click into an image without seeing a thumbnail first. but what it can say, aesthetically speaking, is that this site is not being well cared for, and missing thumbs just present a rather unattractive page, not to mention, that, for the most part, what's posted in the galleries is intended for viewing...
oh, and before i forget, have a great holiday, Kimberly. :D
@Giana-- that is so odd that it's not a particular/specific gallery, it's just your "favorite images." Let me look into this.
Thanks!

I noticed you are using Opera, so I downloaded and installed it to see if I could reproduce the results you were getting. And sure enough, Opera couldn't see any images. I don't know what this means, but perhaps it will be useful for the programmers to know. I'm not having any problems with Firefox, (once I turned the script blocker off). Maybe you can use Firefox until they figure out why Opera can't see the images.

I get this problem on other sites as well. I have to use Chrome on autocrit.com and grammerly.com because my firefox won't even load the front page. So, it isn't like this problem exists on only RR. And, it certainly doesn't do any good to bash people doing their best to deliver a working product. I'll bet there is a common thread between the browsers that is causing the problem. I'm thinking it's best to gather as much information as possible. Such as browsers used, plug-ins used, and so on. And present it so the programmers have as much to look at and try to sort this out.

Unless things have changed since the release of the "Revolution" It's already been a stated fact that Rendo is Optimized for operation with Google Chrome, any other Browsers functionality is therefore secondary to anything else, why else was the question "What Browser are you using" the most asked question and "Have you tried Google Chrome" the most common answer by Staff after the Revolution Fiasco was released....why because because Google rules social media and that is what the "Revolution" is all about. Actually even before the Revolution this site was going the Google optimized which is the reason I went with Opera because it uses the Chrome Framework as Basis for the Browser but since it is independent of Google it doesn't have the Trackers, Loggers and other Spyware associated with all things Google. Yes Cross Browser Compatibility is possible but not as long as Optimization is leaning in favor of One Browser over all others, that's the problem.
Remember...No matter where you go there you are
I have Chrome, everything seems to be working fine with Chrome. I have Firefox, and everything is working fine with it. If the browser you're using isn't working, try a different browser until the problem is found and fixed. Or, shut down plug-ins one by one and see if that fixes it. I had problems with Firefox working until I shut down one of my plug-ins.

in going back through recent events on my PC, there has been a newly released version of Flash that was delivered to folks within the past couple of days, so you may be right, wolfenshire, about the problem being a thing involving a plug-in.
i've no idea if this site relies on anything regarding Flash, but if it does, p'raps this issue lies within some type of conflict there... just a thought...
and if it that is the case, let's hope the programmer[s] can suss it out, for to ask everyone to disable that plug-in just to be able to see things properly would be a bit much...
@giana Good catch, Those are the kind of helpful clues that might help them get this all working right. I'll make sure Hope sees your post so she can pass it on. Btw, it was a plug-in that was suppose to block harmful scripts that was my problem. When I turned it off, everything started working right, and not just here, but on other sites too. I still never got Firefox to work on the two writers editing sites I use though.

i don't know if anyone else ever experiences this or not, nor is this the first time this has happened to me where thumbs are simply not there [it's been occurring off/on since Rendo's deconstruction]. clicking into the image, and you see the image IS there, but somehow, the thumbnail has been lost in translation. i've not only had this happen whenst traversing an individual's gallery, but i've also had it happen on the page that warehouses my favourite images, images i know for a fact that have thumbnails. and it also varies where one day a certain image is missing its thumbnail, the next day it is there, but a totally different image thumbnail has become infected with this odd phenomenon...
does anyone have any insight about this? hopefully?
the image above was taken from page 8 in Baz35's gallery - no guarantee if you try looking for yourself, you'll get the same, or even consistent, results...
