Subject: I made a blanket in cloth room, how do I save it to the library?

I made a blanket in the clooth room but anytime I try to save it as a prop, it saves without the dynamic cloth that was generated. In other words, the blanket saves to the library as a flat piece of geometry instead of the blanket that was made in cloth room.

That is the way it will save in the Library except in the parameters panel you will see an addititional dial designating it as dynamic. Load the prop into the scene and run the script found under Animation>Recalculate Dynamics>All Cloth.

Does this mean I always have to work with scenes on animation frame 14, 29, 38, etc instead of animation frame 1?

Hi @trepleen-- Which forum were you trying to create this in? I'd be happy to move it for you!

Or you can just spawn a morphtarget in the prop before you save it to the library, then when loading prop set value to 1.

The problem with a morph target is that it only applies a specific shape to the prop. If you want it behave differently for other scenes, you really need to recalculate dynamics for versatility.
