At checkout it says I'm not authorized to use it. In the email it says it's for all newsletter subscribers...what gives?

I have the very same problem, and I've been trying for hours now to use it. + mailing the store helpdesk but yet sans response.

Same problem here also. I've been receiving all the newsletters. Tried rebooting, re-logging, triple-checking the spelling of the code. Tried 3 different browsers. Still no luck using this coupon code.

We apologize for the error, but we should have corrected the problem now. Could you please try again with the coupon at check-out? You should not have any more issues trying to use it, but if you continue to have a problem please let us know and we will be glad to help.

Hello chanur56,

Sorry. There is a setting when you subscribe to our newsletter that is supposed to update. I will have to fix that manually for you. Can you please let us know when you changed your profile to allow/subscribe to our newsletter? This info might help us track down the issue.

Please try the coupon again now that manually updated your account.

I didn't change my settings since years. It is still the same as it has been before the 'revolution'...

And Yes, the coupon works now.

Thanks it's working now, however the Clearance items I have in my cart are being flagged as not being valid with the coupon, for example "Trinity". The email I received said "This offer is valid on Sale & Clearance items but will not work on Prime items." Is this another error?

For me it still does not work. I received the newsletter, but neverheless get the "you do not have permission" message.

@ 3dforward, the coupons never work on Prime prices.

Never mind changed purchase to other vendor and excepted the fact the coupon did not work on top of a 40% discount.

The coupon isn't working for me, I enter it and it doesn't give me any text about it being valid/invalid. Assistance would be appreciated!

It's not working for me, either. And I'm not getting an error message or anything. I haven't changed my e-mail-newsletter settings or anything.

According to the e-mail, the NewSubscribeDec2015 coupon is valid on sale and clearance items, but it is not working for any of the clearance items in my cart, just on the sale items. The whole reason I put most of the clearance items from my wishlist into the cart was to take advantage of the coupon. Why is the coupon not working on clearance items?

It's not working for me on clearance items, either. I even tried taking everything else out of the cart. The two clearance items are the things i really want the most, too. LOL Without the coupon, I doubt I'll check out (end-of-the-month finance blues).

It would be nice if the sales staff could either fix this problem or give us a reason why the coupon will not work on clearance items despite the e-mail having said it would.

If I had not changed my order i would still be waiting. I think if I were though I would contact the administrators via sitemail. All 3 have mail listed on profile. Was kind of curious are those having problems prime or ex-prime. I am ex-prime.

I'm Prime, and I was wondering if that is the reason why the coupon is not working on clearance items, since Prime members get a discount on clearance items. But if that is the reason why the coupon is not working, it should be stated somewhere. All I saw in the e-mail was that the coupon is valid on sale and clearance items.

That is what I was wondering about. As has been stated to us many times prime alwas get the best discount so the system is supposed to differentiate. It does not completely explain ex prime though unless there is just something residual they are not finding. I rememger Tigger is prime too. She used the prime forum often.

I just noticed that in all vendors stores I visited items marked as clearance has the yellow coupon icon next to the clearance price which means no coupons accepted. However in the same stores I browsed items not marked as clearance have the green coupon icon which means coupons accepted.

I suspect that they forgot to turn off coupons not allowed on clearance items which in turn means the coupon can't be applied. However I am a prime member so that might have an affect on the clearance items being marked that way for me. Even so it would be nice to know if we do get to use the soon to run out coupon on clearance items like the email stated.

Could a non-prime member possibly pick a few vendors and look at their clearance items and non clearance items to see if the coupons are different (yellow & green) or if they are the exact same.

While I am ex-prime I did check. Looked at items in wish list an went to a couple vendors that I know have clearance items. All listed with yellow ticket.

I wrote to the Site Administrators, and jenn replied:

"The coupon is set to work on sale and clearance items, provided the product page has the green coupon icon indicating that the vendor accepts coupons being used on their products. If the vendor does not allow coupons, whether the product is on sale or in clearance does not matter."

Here is my reply to Jenn:

"Thank you. That explains the problem I looked at all the clearance items in my wishlist and saw that all of them had yellow/orange flags, saying that the vendor does not participate in all coupons. I then went to the clearance section of the Marketplace and checked the first dozen items, and all of them also had yellow flags. This makes me wonder if there are any clearance items in existence with green flags. The default setting for a clearance item certainly seems to be yellow, and of course we have no way of knowing which coupons a vendor will accept, if any. I certainly miss the old system, where coupons would always apply to clearance items (except when they were on sale for $3.50 a few times). That encouraged me to try some clearance items with high discounts after applying a large coupon. But I also miss vendor sales in general, where coupons would also apply. Now all we get are items going on sale as Prime Flash or "Gift of Savings" (also Prime Classic) items, where no coupons apply. To me coupons have almost become worthless except for the occasional new product that interests me, and as a Poser user there are not very many of those anymore.
