Not sure if this is what you had in mind with this thread but here is a "Cycles Shader Encyclopedia" and a "Cycles Input Encyclopedia" from the Blender side of the fence that may be useful to Poser users. I don't have Poser 11 so I am not familiar with its integration into Poser but these links should help in gaining an understanding of using Cycles.

I don't usually render full scenes in Blender, but this is definitely interesting enough to bookmark in case I ever do.
