Dear Friends ,

Renderosity has been my home on the web for 13 years and I have been privelaged to meet some of the finest people in my life here. Many I call my dear friends and I also met loved and lost in death,one of the great loves of my life here, God rest her soul. I am only thankful she is not here today to see what this community has become. Renderosity was once a community that nurtured learning growing and sharing . It was a home for artist's of all skill levels and softwares and we grew together through knowledge and heart. Now with the new rules we are censored in that growth and how we achieve it and share it with others. This has destroyed the sense of family this site once had. It is increasingly obvious that the people who make the community do not matter near as much as they once did. Our voices are not heard , our warnings and pleadings not headed. Our home is in ruins and the fires are burning slowly out of control. A community is made up of it's members , when you stop hearing them you have lost that "community" .

It is with great sadness that I must take my leave of the place I have called home for so long. I have removed my Galleries and my freebies will be removed today. I would remove my store but as I share those projects with other vendors I will leave them until they clearance out. I will post no art, no further freebies and no new vendored content here. It is time for a new chapter. For those of you who will miss me and do not already know , you will find me at Living Dreams 3D , just google it or send me a sitemail and I will point you to where I am hiding. I am sorry , I can no longer support the decisions being made for this community and sit idly by while it falls to pieces. Thank you so much for the memories my friends and to the staff , I hope you open your eyes and realize that your community is in dire straits and so badly needs you to open your hearts and ears and listen to the voices of the people.

Freebie makers lost so far over this. TPtB (who probably have the weekend off sadly) need to pay attention to this. (TPtB refers to the top of the chain of command, and not the mere forum admins who have little control over their decisions)

And these are merely the individuals who have announced their pulling of freebies and exit. This decision has been disastrous for us, and utterly crippling for you. Thus far your plan has failed dismally and no non-vendors have uploaded more freebies to this site than the previous weeks. The results will not truly be in until the end of Monday, but if the past few days up to this hour have been any indicator, then it looks really bad for you, and it is beginning to look like this latest blunder of yours may ACTUALLY result in new sources of competition (i.e one or more new or growing Poser stores that your vendors will move to)

Sadly, I honestly think that the loss of the freebies will have limited or no impact. For months now members have been stating they are either not shopping here or shopping much less. Some are deleting their accounts while others remain around but have deleted the galleries. There have been changes, some of them positive, but the end result of ALL the changes is that people have continued to leave and are now taking their goods, freebies included, elsewhere.

Much as I would like to see Renderosity become a community once more I find it increasingly difficult to see any way back.

It has been stated elsewhere that the freebies are poorly organized and after searching last week through tons of useless items I must agree. I would think that a cause of less downloads.
